Finally, someone he can relate to.
President Bush was in the Philly area yesterday drumming up funding for local Republican candidates (much to their chagrin – really!) but he took some time out to meet with Lew Bennet III, the 14-year old Plymouth Whitemarsh student who may have averted a Columbine-style catastrophe by reporting a classmate’s plan to shoot school bullies.
Bush reportedly spent several minutes talking with the boy, “praising his courage” according to the Philly Daily News:
“It was pretty unbelievable,” said the youth’s father, Lewis Bennett Jr. “I expected him to just kind of breeze by and shake hands and be gone.”
The topic of conversation? Halo 3. Bush just can’t seem to get past the third mission. Bennett gave him some cheat codes, after which Bush thanked Bennett for the “Pwnage.”
Shortly thereafter, Bush was confronted by an erudite Chris Hansen, who wanted to know why Bush had traveled so far to meet with a 14-year-old boy. “I just wanted to talk,” said Bush. “He’s a very brave little boy.” Hansen seemed dissatisfied with the response and continually clenched his jaw and paged through something he called “the chatlogs.”
Seriously though, look at the kid, all dressed up in his best CIA spook Halloween costume and his Zac Efron haircut, staring at the President like he was meeting Barry Bonds or something. (Well, I guess in a way he is…) That’s just plain terrifying. If I was that kids’ parents, I’d keep him the hell away from George W. Bush. Kid might catch failure.

is this a joke article or this for real? the first part makes sense, but why would bush be playing halo 3? doesn’t he have presidential duties? also about not being able to beat the third level, is that because he’s playing on legendary? by the way, is the third level Crow’s Nest or Tsavo Highway i.e. is Arrival considered a level? one more thing, what do they mean by cheat codes? i’ve googled up cheats and all i found was easter eggs and skulls (not that i’m unhappy). sorry, ONE more thing. when bush said “internets” the SECOND time, was it a joke?
